Celtic Oktoberfest: Day 6

Our schedule is a bit hectic this trip. I say this because…it’s yet another travel day for us. Today is a big one as it involves taking the train across the country and hopping on another train to another country. With our bit of time in the morning, we checked out the Claddaugh Museum (the place where it all started) and the Aran Sweater Market (because one must buy a wool something whilst in Ireland). The Aran Islands are near by and one day, I intend to visit them. I got mittens (whoo!). We also stopped by quick to see the Spanish Arch.
I grabbed a quick breakfast at the Gourmet Tart Co., a delicious chai latte and croissant. Then it was off to the train station to Dublin before catching a flight to Munich. With some time to kill at the airport, we grabbed lunch at the Marquette. It’s basically a food hall with a ton of delicious looking options to choose from. I got a salmon “sandwich”, orzo salad and green bean salad.

We didn’t get to our Airbnb until 10:30p that night. It was a long travel day and we jumped time zones as well. Denis, our host, met us to give us the keys and show us around. He was actually glad we were running late because he had been enjoying the Oktoberfest festivities. His place is quite close to Oktoberfest, so bonus points.
We were so tired. We ended up just crashing for the night. Tomorrow was the big Oktoberfest day and we had some shopping to do beforehand. We were going to hunt down some affordable, yet cute dirndls.
