Celtic Oktoberfest: Day 8

Guess what day it is? We’re more than halfway through our trip. How is it just flying by so fast. It’s, yet again, another travel day. It was the briefest visits to Munich, but filled with so much fun. One day, we’ll have to come back and see more of Munich.

Like every other travel day thus far, we had time for breakfast. We got breakfast at the Cafe Zimt, just down the street from where we were staying. We got a giant delicious jar of museli with some delicious fruit. We also got cappuccinos.

Then it was off to the bus to catch the train to the airport. The Munich airport is not close, but it’s kind of cool. There’s an giant outdoor portion, which just made me want to hang out there, but there was no time to waste. We were hopping aboard our Lufthansa flight back to Dublin and enjoyed lunch aboard with a nice delicious German beer, or two or three. Oh, and it was cheaper to book our flights in Business class on the way back to Dublin.

Getting to our plane was quite the experience. We loaded onto a shuttle that took us across the tarmac to our plane…that was just sitting there. Had to climb the steps to get up onto the plane…but then we settled in nicely in our seats. I had the window and she had the aisle and there was no one between…life’s simple luxuries!

After our arrival in Dublin, we headed to our last Airbnb of the trip and “unpacked”. We were hungry and in need of some food. So, we head down the street to Etto. Etto is such a cute little space and we must’ve timed it just right because we got in (as walk-ins) right before the big dinner rush. Dinner was delicious and consisted of: mozzarella suppli, cod croquettes, bread & butter, mussels, roasted cauliflower and egg. Anne got a chocolate pot for dessert (super rich, but deliciously executed).
