CNX – Part 2

CNX, otherwise known as Chiang Mai (or CM), is fast becoming my Minnesota in Thailand. Wait, what?!? What I mean is that, to me, it could totally be a place that feels like home, but that I don’t necessarily want to live in. Technically, beside quarantining in Bangkok, it was my “first” city in Thailand (on my own). It’s only about an hour (by plane) away from Bangkok (just like the difference between Chicago and Minneapolis. I have my slew of friends up there that make me want to stay up there, but I’m a city girl.
I didn’t go up there to see and do things, although we totally know I saw and did things (and ate things). I went up to CNX to meet and hang out with my friends. I even had a new friend to meet and couldn’t wait to hang out with her. Other than going up there, I had no plans. My friend gave me a list of things I should check out and eat, bu they weren’t all super feasible, so I shall save it for next time.
While I was up there, I did work some, but I also explored a lot and hung out with my friends. I definitely ended up doing, seeing and eating more things than intended. Below are some of the highlights of my trip.

Chiang Mai was so much fun I already can’t wait come back. Leaving is always bittersweet. If I had to pick lowlights, that would be the days it rained out our attempts to go to Barking Jac and when the mango sticky rice was place was closed. Other than that, so many highlights. (Also, not sure why I didn’t post this sooner.)
