This year is a big one. It’s a major level up. This year, we level up to level 40. I’m not sure if anything is really different (other than the fact that I’ve spent a boat-load of money on just diving alone). So, it’s Baramee Birthday Month…and what have I been up to?

So how did it start? It started with me moving apartments on June 1st and after moving, immediately making sure my bags were packed to head south to Koh Tao with Jessie. Our journey to Koh Tao involved an overnight train, a van, a ferry and a shuttle to our resort. We stayed at Ban’s Diving Resort. We bummed around Friday. I went diving on Saturday. We went on a snorkel tour on Sunday. On Monday, we bummed around until we had to leave.

After getting back to BKK on Tuesday morning, I was headed back on the road on Friday night. This time I was headed for a weekend dive trip in Samaesarn with DumDee. Some good quality time spent with friends, but not the best diving weekend. The dive conditions just were not very good – super murky…and a bit current-y.

Am I going to be around for the next weekend? Absolutely NOT…and do you know why? Because it’s Baramee Birthday Weekend. And we are headed to Hua Hin for a pool villa stay. A small, but fun group of friends. Hoped for the best quality time…which is mostly was…until it wasn’t.

But after Hua Hin, I should be spending the rest of my birthday month in Bangkok. I’m excited for it and to celebrate my friend Paul at the end of the month.
