2023 is coming to an end and I’m still in Thailand. Holiday cards are still a thing for me, but this time I’m taking it completely digital. So, below is my wrap-up of 2023. I hope you enjoy the memories with me.

2023 was a wild and unexpected ride. At the beginning of 2023, I had only 2 dive trips planned (the Maldives and South Andaman). From the South Andaman trip, 2 more got planned (Koh Tao – which I didn’t go on and Koh Lipe). However, in the end, I ended up on 10 dives trips over the course of the course of 12 months (11, if you country from the end of December 2022). I spent a lot of time in the water. 2024 will not include so many trips (diving, any way).

I also did a lot of traveling. I ended up in Egypt, Vietnam, the Philippines, Taiwan and back in the States. I made a lot of new friends, reconnected with acquaintances, and caught up with old friends. I was glad to be able to spend time with my family, as well.

This year was a struggle at times, but completely filled with unforgettable moments. It’s also a year that put me at a crossroads for 2024. Do I got back to the States or do I try and stay in Thailand a bit longer? By the end of this year/beginning of next year, I will have completely my SE Asia mission (visiting the countries I wanted to visit while I was here – Singapore is the last on the list).

I have one more BIG trip coming up it’s Liz and friends. We’re doing a mini tour of Asia. We are starting in Thailand (Dec 18th – Bangkok and Chiang Mai), going to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam (Hanoi and Da Nang) and finally, finishing up in Seoul, South Korea. It’ll be a whirlwind trip for sure.
