So, my friend Gift asked me if I wanted to get diving certified with her and I said sure. It was something I’ve always kind of wanted to do and the opportunity presented itself.

Ever since I went to Hawaii with my friends Ed and Christine, the desire to get certified became even stronger. We were in Hawaii and went on a boat trip to see some mantas. They are both master divers and I snorkeled (and at the time, that was fine because I like snorkeling), but dude, it looked so cool to be much closer to the mantas on the sea floor than floating on the water’s surface.

So, weeks 13 & 14 has me all over Thailand. I’m in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, a bit of time in Surat Thani and finally Koh Samui (my first island in Thailand – that I remember anyway).
